Here is my simple and delicious recipe for tomato and mustard tart, just the way we make it as a family in the summer.

This Provençal-inspired tart is as easy and quick to make as it is tasty and filling. It’s perfect as a main course for an everyday family meal. It also makes an excellent side dish, for example with grilled meat or fish.

Delicious and perfectly crispy thanks to the puff pastry, it will appeal to both kids and adults.

    3 tomatoes
  • Image de mustard
    3 tbsp of mustard
  • Image de Gruyère
    1.8 oz of Gruyère or Comté, mozzarella...

    1 tsp of Herbes de Provence
  • Image de olive oil

Tarte à la tomate : instructions

  • 1
    Grease a large pie pan.
    Roll out the puff pastry and prick it with a fork.

    Slice the cheese into slices a few millimeters thick.

    You can use a mandoline or a vegetable peeler for this.

    Slice the tomatoes.

    Spread a thin layer of mustard, then top with sliced cheese and sliced tomatoes.
    Season with salt.

    Sprinkle with herbes de Provence and drizzle a little olive oil over the entire tart.

    Bake in a hot oven (210°C) for about 30 minutes.
