Here is my recipe for Swiss chard leaf pie (or "Swiss chard greens").
This recipe will help you cook this vegetable, which is sometimes overlooked simply because people aren’t familiar with it. That’s a shame, because Swiss chard is packed with health benefits and is delicious when cooked and seasoned properly.
In this recipe, I prepare a delicious filling made with Swiss chard leaves, bacon, garlic, and cheese—and it’s a real treat!
As the name suggests, this tart is made with Swiss chard leaves, but don’t throw away the stems! You can use them for other dishes, such as a Swiss chard and bacon fondue, which is perfect as a side dish with pasta.
I hope you’ll feel inspired to make this tart—let me know what you think of it!

Great recipe—I doubled the amount of Swiss chard and added some grated Parmesan. I’ll definitely make this again.
This is a great recipe that can be enjoyed hot or cold. It's a real treat.
I added some button mushrooms. Delicious!
Use at least twice as many sheets!!
Great recipe, thank you so much
A fantastic, delicious recipe! Thank you!
It's great and easy to do. Very good
What a pleasant surprise—this tart is delicious!
I made your recipe—the dough was prepared in a Thermomix TM6—and we really enjoyed it,
Fresh out of the oven… now a family favorite!
Great
An easy-to-make treat…!
Excellent!
I finally made your famous Swiss chard tart, and it was delicious! It’s sure to win over even the biggest Swiss chard skeptics, and it’s perfect for the start of fall.
I even added an extra egg because my pie pan is pretty deep, and I wanted a really thick filling.
P.S. I took the opportunity to add some photos; I hope you’ll forgive me for butting in 🙂
Really good
Thanks! I didn't know what to do with the Swiss chard leaves. I cooked the Swiss chard, onions, and bacon for 5 minutes in my Cookeo, added some Roquefort cheese to the mixture, used homemade shortcrust pastry made in the Thermomix, and there you go. It was great—thanks!
Great recipe!
I've made it several times, and even the older teens liked it—that's a good sign…
