It was my buddy Freddie who used to bake these cookies in our dorm, to share with all our friends on the floor.
He gave me the recipe after I promised him I’d always use dark chocolate to make them 😋.
I hope it will be enjoyed by new generations of students from now on!
If you have a gluten intolerance, you can replace the wheat flour with spelt or buckwheat flour, which are naturally low in gluten and just as tasty.
On the other hand, if you want a vegan recipe, you’ll need to replace the sweetened condensed milk with soy, spelt, or oat “milk”… and add brown sugar.
