When summer arrives with its sometimes sweltering heat, this refreshing lemon-mint drink is pure bliss. We always keep a bottle in the fridge, and the whole family helps themselves regularly—with the last person on duty to make more! Here’s the super-simple recipe for this perfectly refreshing and thirst-quenching drink.
You might say, "lemon, mint, ice cubes"… that’s a virgin mojito! Well, no—you won’t find any sugar here. Aside from the health benefits, adding sugar to a thirst-quenching drink would be counterproductive. In fact, too much sugar actually increases the sensation of thirst. You may have noticed that you’re often still thirsty after drinking a soda!
Since it’s sugar-free, you can enjoy this flavored water all day long as a substitute for plain water. The slight tartness from the lemon juice enhances the refreshing sensation, and the blended aromas of lemon and mint are a true delight with every sip.
As for the ingredients, you can use lemon or lime—both work great. And as for the mint, you might have some in your garden or on your balcony, but you can also easily find it at your local produce store or supermarket.
This "recipe" is incredibly easy to make, and I hope you’ll add it to your fridge soon too ❄️
Enjoy, and thank you in advance for your comments!
