At the request of a dear colleague who absolutely loved them, I’m sharing my exclusive recipe for rum and vanilla crêpe batter right here.
The crêpes made with this batter are incredibly soft and fragrant. The aromas of rum and vanilla blend perfectly, transporting you to the islands as you savor these crêpes 😋
Of course, you can serve them however you like—with sugar, muscovado sugar (for a more original touch), caramel butter, lemon, chocolate, chestnut cream, or various nut butters. Lightly toast some slivered almonds or crushed hazelnuts and sprinkle them over the filling… a guaranteed treat 🤩
If you don’t want alcohol in the batter, you can replace the rum with a flavoring such as bitter almond or orange blossom.
As you’ll see, this flavored crêpe batter is very easy to make. You’ll only need ingredients “from the pantry” and a few utensils. With a food processor or electric mixer, you can mix it up in seconds. But if you don’t have one, you can use a pastry whisk instead.
It’ll be ready to cook right away, much to the delight of kids and adults alike… and your coworkers 🙂
I hope you’ll give this Rum-Vanilla crepe batter recipe a try. If you do, I hope you enjoy it!
Thank you in advance for your comments 🙏
