For my first recipe, I’m keeping it simple—but delicious—with this recipe for cream-glazed carrots!

Preparation requires minimal effort—just enough time to wash the carrots and cut them into pieces. The result is a delicate dish that preserves the natural flavor of the carrots while adding a rich, indulgent touch with butter and cream.

These cream-glazed carrots can be enjoyed on their own or as a side dish with grilled meat or fish.

Ingredients for Carottes glacées à la crème

    1 kg of carrots
  • Image de butter
    40 g of butter
  • Image de liquid crème fraîche
    75 g of liquid crème fraîche
  • Image de parsley
    3 strands of parsley
  • Image de salt, pepper

Carottes glacées à la crème : instructions

  • 1
    Wash and scrub your carrots. No need to peel them—you’ll lose flavor and vitamins!
  • 2
    Cut the carrots into pieces of uniform size and thickness; this will make them look more presentable and appetizing.
  • 3
    Place the carrots in a large pot or wok, add just enough water to cover them, and add the butter, salt, and pepper.

    Cook them uncovered over fairly high heat for about 20 minutes. Finish cooking covered over low heat for another 10 minutes.

    Once removed from the heat, stir in the crème fraîche, give it a quick stir, and serve garnished with a few sprigs of chopped parsley.
