If, like me, you’re struggling to come up with ideas for cooking Brussels sprouts and are looking for an easy and original recipe, you’re going to love these Brussels sprouts with soy sauce and sesame!

The preparation is really simple and very quick, especially since they’re cooked in the oven (though you’ll need to keep a close eye on them!).

As for seasoning, there’s no need to add salt to this recipe, since the soy sauce already provides plenty of salt.

Sumac adds a slight touch of tartness and a unique twist, while the sesame seeds give these delicious golden vegetables a nice crunch.

In short, these roasted Brussels sprouts with soy sauce and sesame are a great example of “fusion” cuisine, blending ingredients from diverse Asian and Middle Eastern origins to give a modern twist to this classic vegetable!

    4 cooking oil suitable for high temperatures (we'll be baking at 200°C)
  • Image de soy sauce
    3 soy sauce
  • Image de sesame seeds
    4 sesame seeds
  • Image de sumac
    2 sumac optional, to add a subtle, interesting touch of acidity
  • Image de thyme
    1 thyme
  • Image de oregano
    1 oregano

    Wash the Brussels sprouts in a bowl.

    Cut off the yellowed ends of the stalks, cut the cabbages in half, and place them in a salad bowl.

    Preheat the oven to 200°C.
    Add the oil, soy sauce, sesame seeds, and herbs to the mixing bowl. Mix well.

    Place the seasoned cabbage on a nonstick baking sheet, or, if you don’t have one, on the oven rack lined with parchment paper.

    Place them on the second rack of the oven and roast the choux pastries for 20 minutes, keeping a close eye on them: they mustn't burn!
