July : Introduction

July is the quintessential summer month, when meals are light, sunny, and full of freshness. Fruits and vegetables are at their best, bursting with flavor and sunshine. It’s peak season for tomatoes, lettuce, zucchini, melons, peaches, apricots, figs, and many other delights. The market stalls are bursting with vibrant colors, perfect for whipping up refreshing salads, gazpacho, or fruit tarts.

It’s also the perfect time to enjoy barbecues and grilled dishes outdoors. Enjoy meats, vegetables, and fish cooked over an open flame, accompanied by fragrant marinades.




Meals are convivial, often eaten outdoors, and are all about simplicity and enjoyment. Evenings are enlivened by dinner parties featuring mezze, tapenades, and refreshing drinks.

July is a month for fully enjoying seasonal produce, when meals are meant to be light and the joy of cooking with the flavors of the season takes center stage.
