Welcome to my recipe for the "mocktail" Spicy Virgin Paloma. The Spicy Virgin Paloma is a spicy, alcohol-free version of the famous Mexican Paloma cocktail, traditionally made with tequila, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and sparkling soda. Very popular in Mexico, the Paloma is known for its tangy freshness and subtle balance between sweetness and bitterness, often served over ice in a salt-rimmed glass.

In this "virgin" version, we retain all the vibrancy of the original cocktail without using alcohol. Thanks to the use of ginger beer, we add a spicy note to the original, which brings energy and a touch of originality. The result? A refreshing, bold, and festive drink, ideal for those who love bold flavors or anyone looking to enjoy an alcohol-free cocktail that’s full of character.

This non-alcoholic cocktail is perfect for summer aperitifs, evenings with friends, or gourmet brunches. And at least everyone in the family can enjoy it—young and old alike, or even expectant mothers 😄!

Ingredients for Spicy Virgin Paloma Mocktail

    30 cl of ginger beer
  • Image de pink grapefruit juice
    20 cl of pink grapefruit juice (Allow 15 cl per grapefruit)
  • Image de agave syrup
    30 g of agave syrup
  • Image de lemon
    1 lemon
  • Image de rosemary
    1 branch of rosemary costs
  • Image de ice cubes

Spicy Virgin Paloma Mocktail : instructions

  • 1
    Squeeze the grapefruit.
    Combine the grapefruit juice and agave syrup in the shaker.
  • 2
    Add the ginger beer and stir with a spoon.
  • 3
    Divide the ice cubes among the cocktail glasses, and pour the mocktail over them.
  • 4
    Garnish the glasses with a slice of lemon and a sprig of fresh rosemary.
