Here’s my recipe for a chocolate-banana tart—easy to make and truly irresistible 🤩
Sweet tooths will be in heaven with this chocolate-banana tart made with a shortcrust pastry base and topped with dark chocolate ganache. We then finish it off with banana slices and a topping made with milk, eggs, and brown sugar. It’s this egg mixture that will brown and caramelize in the oven, while protecting the banana slices.
This chocolate banana tart makes a wonderful dessert for a meal with friends or family, or for a gourmet snack or tea time! The sweetness of the banana balances the rich flavor of the chocolate ganache, delighting the taste buds.
To add variety to this banana-chocolate combination, I offer this recipe in two versions:
- First, there’s the “chocolate++” version, with a thick layer of ganache and banana slices on top,
- But you can also opt for the "banana++" version, which starts with a layer of mashed banana, followed by a thin layer of chocolate ganache, and finally the banana slices.
I can’t decide—I love both versions. So I’ll let you decide for yourself, but the best thing to do is try them both 😋
