Canistrelli are small, very crispy cookies from Corsica, available in various shapes and with exquisite flavors. Since I love them so much, I decided to try making them myself, and after a few attempts, I’m sharing the recipe with you now that it’s perfected!
Much more than just a simple treat, Canistrelli embody the rich history and centuries-old culinary traditions of this Mediterranean island. These little delicacies, often nicknamed “maquis cookies,” have roots that stretch back to ancient times in Corsica.
