Ingredients for Jambon à l'échalote

  • Image de cooked ham
    12 slices of of cooked ham
  • Image de shallot
    4.4 oz of shallots
  • Image de onion
    1 onion
  • Image de crème fraîche
    6.8 fl oz of crème fraîche
  • Image de white wine
    5.1 fl oz of white wine
  • Image de tomato paste
    1 small box of of tomato paste (about 70 g)
  • Image de oil
    1 net of oil
  • Image de salt, pepper
    salt, pepper

Jambon à l'échalote : instructions

  • 1
    Finely chop (or blend) the shallots and onion.
  • 2
    Sauté them in a saucepan with a drizzle of oil.
  • 3
    Add the tomato puree, cream, and wine.
  • 4
    Season with salt and pepper and cook for 10 minutes.
  • 5
    Roll up the slices of ham and arrange them in a baking dish.
  • 6
    Coat the ham with the sauce and bake for 10 minutes.

Notes

Serve with rice, generously topped with sauce.This dish tastes even better when reheated.

    Trop trop bon
    Je fais cette recette depuis 40 ans car ma maman la faisait quand j’étais jeune . Tradition d’au moins 50 ans chez nous .
    Nous adorions la fin des dîners entre amis de nos parents pour finir le plat 😂
