Jambon à l’échalote

  • Finely chop (or blend) the shallots and onion.
  • Sauté them in a saucepan with a drizzle of oil.
  • Add the tomato puree, cream, and wine.
  • Season with salt and pepper and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Roll up the slices of ham and arrange them in a baking dish.
  • Coat the ham with the sauce and bake for 10 minutes.
  • Notes

    Serve with rice, generously topped with sauce.

    This dish tastes even better when reheated.
