What is a pastry bag?

This cone is fitted with an opening called a socket. This mouthpiece can be of different forms and sizes depending on the desired effect.

The ease of cleaning is a practical criterion not to be overlooked. Some piping bags can be washed in the dishwasher, while others require more thorough manual cleaning.

Finally, consider the polyvalence of the piping bag. Choose a model you can use for a variety of preparations, whether glazing, choux pastry, or varied fillings.

Fill the pocket with the filling you wish to arrange.

Roll the top of the pocket until you reach the level of the preparation in the pocket. You’ll then just need to apply a little pressure with your hand for the filling to start coming out of the sleeve.

Grip the top part with one hand, and the bottom part with the other. Place the sleeve on top of your cake or preparation.

Apply even pressure on the sleeve with one hand, while exerting a constant movement with the other. By doing so, you’ll achieve a well-uniformed result worthy of a pro!

Satisfied with the result? Clean carefully, dry completely and range your piping bag after use to extend its life.
