Cake au Saumon Fumé

2 ginger root optional (do not use if you choose pink peppercorns)

1 pink peppercorns optional (do not mix with ginger)

3 eggs

5.3 oz of flour

1 baking powder

3.4 fl oz of sunflower oil

4.2 fl oz of whole milk

3.5 oz of grated Gruyère cheese

Instructions
Preheat your oven to 180°C (thermostat 6).
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
Gradually stir in the oil and the milk, which has been warmed beforehand. Mix well to avoid lumps. Add the Gruyère cheese. Stir.
Cut the salmon into strips, chop the chives, and add them to the batter. Mix well. To give this cake a unique twist, grate some fresh ginger into the mixture.
To add a touch of originality and give this cake a little extra kick, you can choose to either grate a piece of fresh ginger into the mixture or use very lightly crushed pink peppercorns.
Pour the mixture into an ungreased baking pan and bake for 45 minutes.
