Quick and Easy Mashed Potatoes

  • Peel and cut the potatoes into pieces.
  • Cut the potatoes into quarters and cook them for 15 minutes in the steamer basket of your pressure cooker.

  • Remove the potatoes from the oven.
    The Chef’s Tip
    Check if they're done using a paring knife. The tip of the knife should pierce the potato all the way through easily.

  • Use a potato masher to mash the potatoes to the desired consistency (you can leave them more or less chunky, depending on your preference).
  • Gradually add the warm milk until you reach the desired consistency.
    Sprinkle with small cubes of butter, and grate some nutmeg over the mixture.
  • Season with salt and pepper, and mix well.
    Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary, then serve this homemade mashed potatoes piping hot!
