  • Combine the flour, sugar, chocolate, egg yolks, and melted butter.
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, then gently fold them into the mixture in the bowl.
  • Bake for 30 minutes in a buttered or parchment-lined pan.
    Note: You can use a springform pan to present this Queen of Sheba cake beautifully and make it easier to slice. Simply remove the outer ring of the pan and serve it as is.
  • Once the cake is done baking, serve it warm or cold.
  • Notes

    For an even more appealing and indulgent finish, you can dust the cake with low-fat cocoa powder or powdered sugar.
    For dessert or tea time, serve this Queen of Sheba cake with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
