Ma sauce Bolognaise maison

  • Wash the bell pepper and cut it in half. Remove the seeds, rinse it, and then slice it into strips, which you’ll cut in half. Now for the onion: cut it in half, peel it, remove the core, and chop it into small pieces.
  • Heat the olive oil over medium heat in a wok or skillet, then add the bell pepper, onion, and herbs. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add the ground meat to the pan and cook for another 5 minutes. Meanwhile, rinse the tomatoes, cut them into quarters, remove the seeds, and then cut them in half again.
  • Add the tomatoes to the pan, cover, and simmer over low heat for another 30 minutes, so they break down completely and the mixture thickens into a sauce.

    Serve this sauce piping hot with a plate of spaghetti or tagliatelle, along with some grated Parmesan cheese.
