Gâteau au yaourt

  • Grease the cake pan. Preheat the oven to 180°C (gas mark 6).
  • Pour the yogurt into a mixing bowl. Add the sugar, then the flour, using the yogurt containers to measure the amount.
  • Melt the butter and add it to the mixture, along with the yeast.
    Mix well until smooth.
  • Add the egg yolks to the mixture and set the egg whites aside in a bowl.
  • Add the salt to the egg whites and beat them until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the egg whites into the mixture using a spatula, being careful not to deflate them.
  • Fill the pan with the cake batter.
  • Bake for 20 to 30 minutes (test with a knife).
