Punch à l’Orange

2.1 cup of Dark rum

8.8 oz of sugar

8 oranges

6 vanilla
Instructions
Wash the oranges thoroughly, then dry them. Using a sharp knife, peel the oranges in a spiral motion, removing only the zest.
Put a liter of water in a saucepan with the orange zest and sugar; bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
Split the vanilla beans open and scrape out the seeds with a spoon or knife. Squeeze the oranges to extract the juice; pour the juice into a mixing bowl, add the rum and vanilla, then stir to combine.
Strain the boiling sugar water through a sieve; mix it with the rum and orange juice in a bowl.
Serve immediately with a ladle.
