Gratin de courgettes

Instructions
Wash the zucchini without peeling them, pat them dry, and cut them into 1-cm-thick rounds.
Add them to 3 liters of boiling salted water and cook for 15 to 18 minutes.
Pour them into a colander to drain. Using a slotted spoon, press them to remove any excess water.
Place the zucchini in a buttered baking dish. Mash them coarsely with a fork.
In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs as if making an omelet, then add the cream and grated Gruyère cheese. Season with salt and pepper, and sprinkle with grated nutmeg.
Pour this mixture over the zucchini, stir, and bake in a hot oven (220°C) for 15 minutes.
